President Bush Nominate Samuel Alito

FOXNews: Conservative Choice, Blogs4Bush: Confirm Judge Alito

Well, I was in a wait and see mode with Harriet Miers, President Bush's first choice to replace retiring Associate Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, until Miers decided to bow out. Now the President has chosen Judge Samuel Alito from the 3rd Circuit Court from New Jersey. Alito was confirmed by the Senate back in 1990 when he was nominated to the 3rd Circuit by former President George H. W. Bush unanimously.

President Bush has obviously made a good choice with Alito. Why? A good track record with conservatives, and now has pissed off the Liberals. I support the President's pick to replace Associate Justice O'Connor. Let's see the Democrats try to stop this.

The Passing of an American Martyr

Rosa Parks dies at age 92: FOXNews.com

Rosa Parks, whose refusal to give up her bus seat to a white man sparked the modern civil rights movement, died Monday evening. She was 92.

Parks is best known for her act of defiance against segregation on a bus in Alabama in 1955. She refused to give up her seat to a white person, resulting in her arrest. She was fined $14.

Her act of deiance earned her the nickname "Mother of the Civil Rights Movement". This act resulted in the massive boycott of the bus system organized by the Baptist minister Martin Luther King Jr.

Since this event, many others have practiced civil disobidience. And after her passing, many others will follow in her footsteps of civil disobedience.

Godspeed, Rosa Parks.

Invailid Spanish Warrant against US Warriors

Via: FOXNews.com: Spanish Judge Issues Warrants for Three U.S. Soldiers

MADRID, Spain — A judge has issued an international arrest warrant for three U.S. soldiers whose tank fired on a Baghdad hotel during the Iraq war, killing a Spanish journalist and a Ukrainian cameraman, a court official said Wednesday.

Well, well, well. The Spanish judicial system wants to take three American soldiers to a kangaroo court for firing a tank round at an hotel after the soldiers were taking fire. The hotel housed international journalists who were covering the war in Iraq.

Well, the way I see it, any journalists who enter a war zone take full responsibility of their lives, as they do, but also nullified any uniformed military force from prosecution/punishment in foreign courts. Several investigations have taken place over the incident and has exonerated the three warriors. The Socialist Republic of Spain decides to try to arrest them to give America and her children a black eye.

This is why President Bush decided not to join an international court because of this exact thing: find a way to punish America over anything they can find/make up.

I call bullshit onto the Spanish court and it's warrants. They are not worth the paper they are written on.
